These are the features I’m hoping to implement:
- Super easy and flexible mod installation. Just drag&drop folder, files, or compressed file to the editor.
- Simple activation/deactivation – just tick checkbox and click apply
- Automatically combine mods when needed – This obviously will use the same code as my mod combiner.
- Check if mods are up to date
- Mod settings – No need to make multiple versions of same mod anymore
Got some work done on the layout.
The tool/gear icon is for changing mod settings. Obviously this needs support from the mod, but it will be really simple to add settings for mods. Mod version column will tell when there’s new version available (provided that mod maker included link to the mod page).February 11, 2016 at 2:45 am #164721February 12, 2016 at 2:43 pm #164731
Now it doesn’t hurt my eyes anymore 😛

How will I be able to implement the settings feature into my mods?
Looks Good 🙂February 12, 2016 at 5:44 pm #164736
I’ll make a tutorial when it’s ready but it will be pretty simple xml config.
<ComboBox Name="Model"> <ComboBoxItem Name="Cow"> <Value file="somethingfile.bin" path="model value id">Cow model name</Value> </ComboBoxItem> <ComboBoxItem Name="Chicken"> <Value file="somethingfile.bin" path="model value id">Chicked model name</Value> </ComboBoxItem> </ComboBox>
That config would have one combobox. Options would be Cow and Chicken. Selecting Cow would set all values with id “model value id” to “Cow model name” from somethingfile.bin.
The other part (that is already working) would be really simple:
<Name>No intro</Name> <Author>FINDarkside</Author> <ModPage>http://justcause3mods.com/mods/mod-manager/</ModPage> <Version>1</Version>February 14, 2016 at 3:22 pm #164807
I think I should focus more on the functionality than the looks but here we go 😛

Very nice work so far. Any idea when you’ll have a beta for us to try out?March 7, 2016 at 9:06 am #165239
No not really, I haven’t been working on it for a while so it could be this week if I just have some time. Installing mods is already working. I’ll probably polish it a bit and then release it without the mod settings, I’ll make that later.March 8, 2016 at 11:10 am #165251
I was pretty close to ready, but the new patch removed those text files containing file names of the files inside those archives. These text files were really useful, because obviously I can’t just extract every archive to find one file that’s needed when combining mods. I was also using the list to determine which files were mod files and which were just something not needed for the mod. I really hope we get those back, otherwise this will probably be never finished.
